This review looks at Porkbun as a domain registrar from both price-comparison data and my own paid account use. I have spent $577.32 with Porkbun, used it to register and manage multiple domains, transferred most of them elsewhere and still keep a few in the account.

Review verdict
Porkbun is a strong choice for people who want a conventional registrar account, useful included features and renewal prices that generally avoid the sharp jumps common with heavily discounted first-year offers.

My paid use broadly matches the price research: Porkbun is simple to manage, its ongoing prices are sensible, and the included domain tools cover what most owners need. It is not the most advanced platform in this comparison, and its live-support hours are narrower than some users may want, but it remains one of the easiest registrars to recommend.
Individuals, small businesses and portfolio owners who value ease of use, steady renewal pricing and useful features without a complicated dashboard.
You need 24/7 live or telephone support, or you want the broadest collection of advanced domain and hosting tools in one platform.
Porkbun is easier to navigate than Spaceship, but Spaceship offers a deeper and more ambitious toolset at similarly strong prices.
Choose Spaceship for more advanced features and the highest overall score; choose Porkbun when a simpler interface matters more.

First-hand account use
I have used Porkbun for multiple domain purchases and still keep a few domains there. Most have since been transferred elsewhere, but I do not treat that transfer history as proof of dissatisfaction because the reasons for those moves are outside this review.

The interface feels conventional and understandable. Registering domains, reviewing renewal settings and reaching transfer controls did not require learning an unusual navigation system.
I like that Porkbun generally keeps registration and renewal prices relatively close together instead of using a very low first-year price followed by a large increase.
Compare before choosing
Spaceship is the main alternative: it scores slightly higher for price and feature depth, while Porkbun is the better fit for readers who prefer a simpler, more conventional account experience.

How this review was prepared
The score combines our five-category registrar method, extension-level price research, official documentation and first-hand paid use. Customer ratings remain separate from the editorial score.
This is a practical registrar review, not a penetration test or a benchmark of every support interaction. Features and prices can differ by extension, country and account.
The $577.32 spending total demonstrates genuine paid use. It does not by itself prove service quality, and transferring most domains away is not treated as a negative without a stated reason.
